Imagine if a Democrat President turned around an economy in 9 months, created 1.5 million jobs, oversaw 15+ record highs in the stock market, signed over 50+ bills into law, & confirmed a record numbers of justices The media would say those accomplishments are historic

Yes and no. Obama inherited a crumbling economy. Trump inherited a growing economy, and it's continuing in a positive direction. GDP is a little higher than in 2015 or 2016, job growth a little lower. We're not "seeing drops across the board."

Sort of. Not really. Way too much credit/blame for the economy given to presidents. But no matter how much credit/blame they deserve, it makes no sense to look at the numbers and claim the US economy turned around in 2017.

If you interpreted my comment as negative about the US economy, you're mistaken. This year's numbers clearly show continuation of positive trends. My 401k has gone up every year since mid-2009 like everyone else's. That's nice, but stocks don't really measure national economies.

I ask them, what are YOU getting out of supporting Trump? Probably the only thing is the warm and fuzzy feeling of imagining themselves associated with a “winner”
