More time to report to the public what's in the thing they added. Just about that.

If you assume that would have resulted in two Senators changing their votes, then it would've mattered. Otherwise, informing the public does the same thing after passage as before.

What difference? The opportunity for the American people to understand what was happening.
-
It's not law yet. The American people have some time to understand what's happening.

It is dangerously closer than it was.

I don't get this argument. Time to read the bill would've given Dems the opportunity to understand, publicize, and mobilize against the most shameful aspects. Make it maximally painful for GOP senators to vote yes. Some might've flipped like during healthcare.
-
I'm skeptical that additional public pressure would've swayed votes in this instance. But the bill isn't law yet. The Senate will almost certainly have to take another vote, and if more time in the public eye would lead to some Senators switching to No, there's still time.
-
You shouldn't be that skeptical, it worked with the Obama Care repeal, the whole: you'll kill 20 million people thing seemed to have caused lots of hand wringing and gained 3 votes.

first it undercuts due process second knowing what’s the contents are would have allow mark up/rewrites/negotiation And let’s not over look procedural rules can’t be enforced this way either
-
Also as was pointed out on Maddow last night, it did not give the opportunity to communicate what’s in it to constituents

They wanted more time to get the bill's contents into the public eye!
