I'm sorry, I just can't get mad at Senators for voting to have a debate. #Trumpcare

That's not what they voted for. For all practical purposes, that vote was to repeal the ACA and everyone knows it.

It's a step in that direction, sure. But doesn't repeal anything If the Senate passes a bad bill, I'll be mad. But they didn't do that today

They're GOING to pass a bad bill. Today was the last real chance to stop it. If GOP "moderates" wouldn't do it here, they're NOT doing it.

Maybe they will and maybe they won't. But today definitely wasn't the last real chance to stop it. That'll be when (if?) they vote on a bill

What today showed clearly was that the GOP is going to shove something through 51-50. They're going to get it done, by hook or by crook.

I'd agree if the bill were written publicly after hearings and with input from the minority. This is abusing the system.

Writing a bill and then trying to pass it without input was bad. That means opening up a bill to amendments is better.

No, it's still bad. They need to go back and do it right from scratch.

Will GOP lockout the Dems out of the debate, like Ryan did with crafting the initial bad bill? I don't really trust Ryan or McConnell.

Maybe. At least for the moment, Dems can propose amendments. We'll see how it ends up working.

You must not be depending on AHCA to survive as i am. A debate opens up the possibility of a repeal....

Agreed... for the last 8 years Republicans were the "party of no" and now Dems seem to have no problem doing the same, unsurprisingly.
