how can we accept any of the "rules" if they are told us within a dream? Why would Cobb's mind create a narrative? #Inception

-
Fair point. But that's why I compared it to philosophical works. Nolan lying about the real rules tricks the viewer with no reveal. No value
-
I think "top doesn't matter/Cobb is a peace" interpretation is what works best. Ambiguous ending encourages debate, rewatches.
-
I like that interpretation of the ending too. Though my theory doesn't challenge it.
-
so would you say the journey Cobb takes through the movie is an escape from the dream state or escaping the limbo of his guilt?
-
Guilt. Basically coming to terms with himself.
-
so his subconscious creates a character-driven narrative as a means to affect that escape? Might be something to all this...

my main problem with whole "Everything's A Dream"
#Inception theory is that it makes everything in movie suspect, meaningless. -
I disagree with that (and explained why in the article). Because the movie's about dreams, it's not the "it's all a dream" TV trope.
-
god is Twitter a maddeningly unsuitable place to debate a great movie like
#Inception. Like trying to type with your elbows...

#Inception would not discipline & specificity of tasks by others explain why only Cobb's subconscious interferes? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
