I feel like the Saudis have been in their own medieval world for so long that they don't realize that most of the rest of the world doesn't see "died during interrogation" as a normal outcome. Maybe the US does and that's all that matters?

Unfortunately, America is not in the best position to moralize about forceful interrogations in the 21st century.
-
A fair point, but I feel like as bad as we are in that debt we still manage some small moral high ground to criticize "accidentally murder one of our own citizens after luring him into our consulate on foreign soil then chop him into pieces."
-
We can (and should) criticize. But the criticism resonates less with others due to America’s recent history of torture.

Yeah, it's a sad state of affairs. Odd though, exactly why would an embassy anywhere keep a bonesaw on its premises?
-
The "interrogators" reportedly brought it with them.
-
So they could "accidentally" kill the guy and in case it was an interrogation gone bad they would have the means to dismember him?
-
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So, this bone saw horror show sends that medieval Saudi Kingdom, their US favorite little prince and their American promoters down the drain for good! Excelllent intelligence work by the Turkish authorities. Brilliant move by Turkey!
-
Doesn't look like it's sending them down the drain, not least because the people running the United States are accepting the Saudi excuse.
-
The Saudi excuse is the most absurd joke ever! Even after two weeks and hours of cleaning by the Saudis, the Turkish forensic team was able to collect hundreds of hard evidence for a brutal murder inside the consulate. And it turns out the Saudi consulate has fled now fled!

Can't believe the mainstream media runs these claims with no evidence whatsoever. Totally irresponsible.
-
The evidence is all here with the Turkish security forces. 11 mins. of tapes of torture and murder. Also 9 hours of forensic search inside consulate with many incriminating hard evidence. Great job Turks!
