Do you not realize the difference between a campaign working with a foreign government and an investigator talking with people from a foreign country, or do you just think your readers are too stupid to realize it or too partisan to care? The key difference: Steele was trying to get info Russia was *trying to keep secret*, while Trump camp was getting info Russia *wanted out in public*

That's true in this instance, though the wants-doesn't want distinction is hard to adjudicate objectively (and hard to know in advance). Adversarial government approaching a campaign vs. individual investigator pursuing individual sources is a clear, objective distinction.

That's why "Russian-sourced" is the giveaway. It's technically true, at least in part (some sources were Russian, others weren't). But she deliberately presents it in a way to give people an inaccurate impression.

I think that in some cases the difference amounts to white-washing. For example, the Trump Tower meeting is supposed to be evidence of Collusion because Jr. thought he was going to get dirt on Clinton (to do with uranium deals or whatever.)...

... If he had hired an "investigator" to talk to the same Russian about the same issue would it have been kosher? Distinction seems arbitrary to me. It's both "trying to get foreigners to give dirt on opponent working with foreigners."

It's not arbitrary. Government v. non-government is an important difference. Even more so since Russia approached them. Counter-intel tip: if reps of an adversarial government approach you in secret and offer you something you value, be wary that they're trying to manipulate you.

Why did she take her editorship of the @FDRLST out of her twitter bio? In any case, bad faith propagandists like her should be treated the same way editors for Komsomolskaya Pravda were - retired to their dachas and ignored.

It's not worth your time. Hillary will be dead and they will still be looking for "all the dead bodies" while Trumpkushner sat on intelligence related to a reporter being chopped to pieces. Never thought I'd use bone saw and Kushner in the same sentence.
