Exactly. Criticism from people they’re newly disagreeing with is guaranteed. Criticism from people they’re now agreeing with too is a disincentive for expressing the new opinion in public.

And supporting any implication that if you’ve changed your mind and would like to admit the error of your ways your viewpoint is somehow tainted or disingenuous. It propagates trump cultism and is actually a very effective voter suppression tactic, not lacking strategy

I hear where you are coming from & think most left of centers will get there. Personally, I am more welcoming than hostile but --It's gonna take some time. He's gotta earn that trust. It doesn't come easy nor should it, IMO
