A thing that could possibly be met if an investigation by law enforcement of any flavor got involved. And that's what he's so mad about.

Possibly, but I doubt it. The reasonable doubt standard would need more than victim testimony. Physical evidence unlikely, since case is so old. Something dramatic--like Judge hypothetically testifying that Kavanaugh did it--would be needed. Otherwise criminal trial would acquit.
-
The line of questions from the prosecutor involving the July 1 calendar entry and 3 names seems like the beginnings of possible corroboration. Of course, no one will ever know because it won't be investigated.
-
Possible. Though I think the most likely result would be continued uncertainty. Meaning: it's possible Kavanaugh was at a party like the one Blasey Ford describes, but that doesn't prove he was at that specific party, nor prove that he did what she accuses him of.

And this rabbit hole does not negate the fact that he does not show the temperament or rationale to sit in that bench. So many dangling questions. I wouldn't hire him for an in house counsel job.
-
Right. That's why I distinguished between elevating him to SCOTUS and removing him from DC Circuit. We know enough to think he shouldn't be confirmed. But would need hard proof to impose a punishment, such as removal from his current position.

If you can't promote him for misconduct such as has been alleged (either sexual, or lying about flatulence under oath), how can he remain on Circuit? You see, that's why it's impossible to have a spectrum of innocence or guilt.

For the same reason OJ was found not guilty in a criminal trial but forced to pay damages in a civil trial: different standard of proof.

Especially considering the way he became unleashed and out of control yesterday. Acted, like an elitist spoiled rich kid.

His performance in the hearing did nothing to change my belief that it would be better for the country if a different Republican nominee was elevated to the court.

Completely agree!!!

While we are on it, I am more convinced than ever that we need term limits. Too many dinosaurs telling us what to do. The senate was designed as a civic duty and not a job.
