I’m not president and will never be president for a whole host of reasons, but this is not one of them. https://twitter.com/parallel235/status/1044591067595661313 …
Normal countries can get direct meetings with the president of the United States. North Korea couldn't until this year. Subsequently, China and Russia eased off sanctions. One could argue normalization is good. But, whether good or bad, intentional or not, that's what's happening

I don’t see that Russia and China eased sanctions- I thought they got more serious as violations were exposed by the US. The suggestion they did so because Trump met with Kim is nonsense. That “ normal countries” claim is just restating the original claim in different words.

This indicates China doesn’t want peace on Korea, not that they now felt Nortg Korea was a normal country. The Kims meet with Chinese leaders all the time. They’ve been allies since 1950. The “normalisation” claim is bunk.

"The suggestion they did so because Trump met with Kim is nonsense." No it's not. It's supported by considerable evidence.

I thought it was obvious they are trying to undermine a US initiative they don’t want to succeed. You could say that was “because” of the initiative, but it isn’t because the initiative “normalised” NK. Stop claiming that the meeting normalised NK. It’s simply not good faith.
