One thing that would help fix our politics on *all* nominations would be to bring back the 60 vote rule and undo the "nuclear option," but no one wants to hear about stuff like that right now because neither side wants to do it.

Or more SCOTUS seats left open until one party can win the White House and 60 Senate seats at the same time. I'd like moderate justices (left or right-leaning in judicial philosophy depending on who's in the White House), but I'm not sure this measure would force compromise.
