I just keep thinking, “Would any place I’ve worked have accepted the appearance of perjury or shady financials or an attempted rape scandal in a job applicant?” And the answer is “Hell, no!”

Well said. For two reasons 1) I phrase it as "an accusation of sexual assault," but you're right that companies would view it as "an attempted rape scandal." They wouldn't want to be anywhere near it, regardless of how it plays out. 2) It's not just 1. Honesty and financials too.

Just the fact that we have to split hairs like this, is a sign that this is clearly the wrong choice. GOP continues to do the things they do for all the wrong reasons, powering over, running roughshod over the interests of the American people. When women lose, everyone loses.
