I don't fault anyone for caring passionately about SCOTUS. It decides many important issues, affecting many people's lives. But I draw the line at breaking the institution in order to save it. You're just breaking it, undermining your policy goals (and much more) in the long-run.
It's one of the few American institutions with net-positive approval ratings. I'm definitely not saying it's perfect. But it could get much worse. A world in which powerful people regularly disregard court rulings, for example. That's not better.pic.twitter.com/EsGUm9TD04
