Mark Judge's defense of Kavanaugh is "I don't remember any of that stuff going on," which is not especially persuasive from someone who literally wrote a book about how he got blackout drunk a lot back then.
I think Judge's response that he does not remember is honest (and he must be under pressure to give a firmer denial). Claiming not to remember is believable. It's just not a persuasive defense of Kavanaugh. (Note, it's not condemning either).
