Never thought I'd see top executive branch officials actively undermining the president. And never would've guessed my first reaction would be relief, rather than horror. Don't get me wrong: it's bad and will have lasting consequences. But so would the actions they're preventing.

2) Can't really have a two (or more) track foreign policy. At least not in this sense. It's either a coherent foreign policy or its not. (It's not) An administration can combine multiple approaches to pursuing the same goal, but not multiple incompatible goals. That's incoherent.
