Stop 25th Amendment talk. It's for incapacitation (stroke, got shot). For abuse of power, obstruction of justice, bribery, etc there's impeachment. Needs 1/2 House + 2/3 Senate. 25th needs that + VP + cabinet majority + 2/3 House. Why go for option that's harder and a worse fit?

What about mid-stage Alzheimer's or a mental illness profound enough to affect judgment? Isn't that "incapacity?" And while we in the public can't make those diagnoses, they are very much non-risible explanations for the man's erratic behavior.

My issue is the practical side, as opposed to what the 25th is designed for. I can't imagine a situation in which the 25th could actually be invoked but impeachment couldn't.

Yes, though as the second season of 24 demonstrated you can invoke the 25th in a pinch if a president is not declaring war fast enough.
