John McCain voted against Obamacare repeal for procedural reasons. Didn't like the ACA, but thought the repeal effort was BS. Rushed, secretive, no minority input, way too low on details. In this way, he was the only Republican to oppose the McConnelling of the Senate with a vote

No. That's why I didn't write "John McCain is a saint." I do, however, appreciate that he was willing to stand up for proper procedure that time.

Ah, gotcha. I've also seen some McCain hagiography. But while my opinion of him is overall more positive than negative, I agree that some of the positive remembrances are selective and over-the-top.
