Real Constitutionalists would impeach Trump on corruption alone. Founders worried about it so much it's in twice: 1) Emoluments clause 2) Bribery as only named impeachable offense besides Treason Trump's used presidency to enrich himself, family, cronies. And we're letting it go.

We've had wealthy presidents before. George HW Bush, for example, often went to his compound in Kennebunkport. But he didn't charge the Secret Service to stay there!http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/355244-secret-service-paid-tens-of-thousands-to-trumps-mar-a-lago-club …

Secret Service pays fair market value to rent locations near where POTUS/VP and family are or own. Biden charged them as a landlord -https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/jul/31/biden-charging-secret-service-cottage-rental/ …

Biden using his position to funnel taxpayer money to himself is also wrong (albeit smaller scale). Surely you're not going with the two-wrongs-make-a-right defense.

No sir. But when you suggest something is unprecedented (not even GHW Bush), I'm pointing out that this specific issue has happened in the executive branch previously.

Fair point. I'm pretty sure the scale is unprecedented, especially given the foreign money--Chinese trademarks, foreign govs staying at hotels, etc--and didn't mean to imply nothing like this corruption has ever happened. There's Teapot Dome, for example. But your point stands.
