This is what frustrates me. The rRght keeps talking about Communism having killed tens of millions of people. In reality Stalin and Mao were Communists at the stars but Fascists at the end.

The Soviets were never fascists. Authoritarian, yes, but far left authoritarian, not far right. You can tell because they primarily defined us-them by class and economic system, not race, nationality, or religion.

Yes. That's the part shared by all authoritarians. The subcategories--fascist, communist, military dictatorship, etc.--depend on who the system empowers.
