You do realize Mussolini was a passionate Marxist, right?
-
Such Marxism. Fascism 1.0 saw the state control corporations to sustain a capitalism in collapse. Fascism 2.0: This time as Farce, saw corporations control the state to sustain capitalism in collapse. In both cases, capitalists were & are supporting fascists against the left.pic.twitter.com/sA3XivXh1o

That argument falls apart when you read Hilter’s own works & the party platform that was DECIDEDLY anti-socialist/ Communist/ social-democratic.
Again, just because a word exists in a name doesn’t make it so. They were fascists. -

It comes down to details and context, as everything does, not just words. Words have meaning. This is a concept even Marxist’s of the day understood, and were very angry about any attempt to try and equate Hitler with their movement.

So to this end, under the Nazi regime: 1) what was the relationship between the state and what ‘Marxists’ would call the bourgeoisie— did they continue to exist as a class? Class and the notion of historical materialism is ABSOLUTELY CENTRAL to ANY notion socialism.
-
(You will have to forgive me, I have pneumonia so these won’t be coming all at once.) as Marxists of the time say, the Soc Dems came in in 1918 to save capitalism from Revolution then the Fascists came to save Capitalism from Revolution again.

But Nazism did teach a form of socialism. Socialism for racists, but socialism nonetheless.

We think they’re socialist because of their program based on tight government control control of the economy and society in general. The USSR had its soviets, the Nazis the German League of teachers/lawyers/doctors. The parallels are striking; the differences less significant.

They aren't socialist because of the name. They were socialist because of the ideology and practices.
