Not that, but are not the congressional candidate and the close associate of the Trump campaign implicated in collusion? I think clearly.

Yes, I think that's implied in the indictment.

I see it not as a precise coordination, but as a plain indication of a collaborative mindset. He knew such hacking was occurring, he liked it and wanted it to continue because it was being done to help him, and therefore, it made sense for him to call out targets for attack.
-
That’s more plausible to me. I’d add that he didn’t even need to be calling out targets. Just aware Russia was making an effort, happy to have the help, and running his mouth in public.

It is not evidence of coordinated collusion per se, at least not at that point, that collusion comes later with the Trump tower meeting. It is opportunistic collusion which has unfolded into a coordinated approach which will be culminated in Helsinki. There the Christian, White..
-
That's more plausible to me. If we take it like Don Jr.'s "I love it"--as an expressed willingness to collude or at least support for Russia's election interference efforts--then it's another piece of a big puzzle, rather than the smoking gun it's being portrayed as.

Alter is short a few marbles.

I've seen variations on the same accusation coming from a lot of people. Doesn't look like any of them stopped to think how this would actually work, whether as part of a pre-coordinated plan or an improvised reaction.
-
This has been going on with Mueller from day one. There's a desire that there is a magic formula or silver bullet that will slay the beast. It's a kind of gnosticism, that there's secret knowledge that is only waiting to be uncovered. It's a religious belief.

Could have been a way for trump to say he accepted the offer of quid, pro and you know. It was pre-arranged. If he said it in public, that was his "handshake" to seal the deal. I know...pure speculation. I'm hitting send anyway.
-
Shouldn’t the pre-arranged signal be something less incriminating? “Blue horseshoe loves Anacott Steel”, or something...
-
But if they could pre-arrange a signal, why not give the signal through the same private lines of communication rather than a semi-ambiguous public statement?
-
Indeed. A lot of the Russia stuff comes from our attempt to retrofit a kind of order to events that were chaotic and random when they were actually occurring.

Not inconceivable that Trump knew it was coming and couldn't keep his mouth shut

What's your theory? Just harmless playing around by GRU? Nothing to see here? Coincidences? I love WikiLeaks! How willfully blind can you be?

The deal was sealed when he asked for it publicly. It would appeal to TrImp's ego and warped sense of humor to stick one over the Establishment this way, instead of e.g. placing a coded ad in the Personal column, or leaving an envelope in a newspaper on a park bench.

Well we certainly need our realists and skeptics but one can hope. :)
