Trump doesn't believe the intelligence communities assessment regarding Russia. No reason to assume he would believe them about North Korea. Besides, Trump said he would never admit he was wrong on North Korea, as he said, "...I'll find some kind of an excuse..."

I have no idea if he doesn't believe the IC assessments or believes them, finds them inconvenient, and therefore lies. But both have a similar negative effect.

Absolutely. He selectively believes them when it benefits his message. I.e. Doesn't believe them regarding North Korea/Russia, but believes IG report "exonerates" him. His politicization of the IC undermines the credibility of an important institution
