I know they gave grant to much money but they didn’t need to be that dirty

The Ravens were going to give him $14m injury guaranteed. They backed out of that when they found a problem with his ankle. Colts only gave him a one year prove it deal for $5m which proves there was cause for concern.
-
Thank you. Yeah, if he didn't have any issues, then he wouldn't have gotten a low risk 1-year prove it deal.

Shady as hell what they did with Ryan Grant. Is there any penalty for failing a player's physical if he passes with another team in a matter of days?
-
They verbally agreed to a deal, he didn't sign it. So, as far as I know, the Ravens can't really face any penalty for backing out of a deal that was never signed. Also, if the Ravens were so "shady" then why didn't the Colts give Grant a high injury guarentee?
-
Indy has been burned by FA WR signings in recent years & had new leverage after Ravens' antics, he passed physicals with Colts & Raiders, plus he has no injury history aside from the ankle in question from the very end of last season.
-
"No injury history aside from the ankle in question from the end the very end of last season." If I'm not mistaken, I do believe that is what caused the red flag in the Ravens' physical. Ravens also said that they would have pursued Crabtree even with Grant's contract in place.
-
Well yea the ankle is what led to them failing his physical, but I don't see how they could have signed both WRs, salary-cap wise. It could all be a coincidence (it's not), but it just seems more like a team seeing a better option suddenly becoming available & changing directions
-
You may consider it dirty. However, like I said, it was a verbal agreement made during legal tampering. The Ravens couldn't perform a physical until Free Agency started. Blame the NFL on that one. Plus, Crabtree's deal is relatively cheap. They could have made it work.
-
I honestly doubted it was anything illegal by NFL's standards, but it just screams dirty move in an already cutthroat business. Had Grant failed other physicals and remained unsigned, it wouldn't be so suspicious on their part.
-
Good to see you defend your opinion in a respectable manner. I can most definetly see why people are suspicious, though I don't completely think so. Ravens didn't make themselves look good, but I think that it's overblown. Nobody really knows for sure, I guess.

Are ^^these^^ ppl even Ravens fans? If you don't like Flacco than find another team. HE WON A SUPER BOWL & looked good as ever towards the end of last season.
-
Honestly man I think it was the knee brace, ever since he stopped playing with it on he's looked a lot more confident in the pocket

Browns fans really think tyrod is the best thing since canned beer
-
They're forgetting that he was Flaccos backup for several years
couldn't even take his starting job..
Browns will do alright this year but talking shit while your team is on a 1-34 tear is bad business

-
Lmao they can have his 6yr/100m contract
-
He and Flacco are both overpaid serviceable starters nothing more nothing less
