People on here really trying to say a man bench pressing 225 lbs with only 1 full arm/hand has an advantage.... #YallTrash

They have a point. Your grip becomes fatigued during a bench because your forarms act to stabilize. That isnt happening on his left because the prosthetic takes care of it.
-
Besides, he has the main muscles that actually carry and move the load (pectorals + triceps). So having a prosthetic that stabilizes without fatigue is reasonably considered an advantage. Its like using the equivalent of a 1-sided Smith Machine
-
But he has half an arm... So it has to do twice the work as the other arm. Thus making it harder. And if youve ever benched before you know as you increase weight one of the biggest obstacles is balance and control. Something you can clearly see he's struggling with...
-
I bench, and you're making my point. Balance and control (and grip!) is taxing when you bench. Having the prosthetic clamped on eliminates grip issues, and since its a solid hunk of material it's automatically stable (like a table). So all he has to do is drive upward.
-
Lol whose grip gives out when benching? It’s not a pulling movement. This is clearly harder than having two normal arms smh
-
No one's grip "gives out". But you dont get that grip (or stabilization) for free. You engage a lot of muscles to get it, and those muscles get taxed. In his case, this isnt happening because the prosthetic takes care of that component of the lift.

Dude, this take is absolutely garbage. Also, weird sword to die on.

Person A: “It really makes it easier” Person B: “how is it easier?” Person A: “well not easier..” Glad we cleared that up.
