854 snaps. Started every game. Was 2x Offensive lineman of the year Big 12; Outland Trophy finalist, unanimous All American and LT in most explosive college offense in the country. Made Ohio State players a believer. Protected the qb who was in top 4 Heisman voting 3 yrs & won it

He is a tackle. He will need to show his skills in his blocking technique and feet movement, as his job will be to protect the QB. He won’t be catching deep balls. People saying he is slow need to relax. #NFLCombine2018

Can someone tell me why it’s important for an OL to run a 40?

        2 replies 0 retweets 4 likes
      3. Noah‏ @NoahsArk527 Mar 2
        Replying to @G_Heatz @NFL and

The 40 is used as the apples to apples comparison for a player's speed. Teams want to see some speed on OL to see how fast they can get downfield to block on the 2nd and 3rd levels on runs. Probably the least useful measurements taken at the Combine though.

Having abnormally long arms bodes well for OT—not for bench press. But it doesn’t follow from that that he’s weak. His body isn’t made to maximize BP.

He's historically weak for a linemen of all arm lengths, and now he's historically slow. It's not that serious lmao
