A. Potential upside is huge B. People always neglect the guaranteed section C. Look how much he changed 49ers, not “is he the best QB” etc... look what HE did to THAT team. Worth every penny

49ers are gonna regret this. When you pay so much to one position, it never pans out. Why don’t you think TB asked for this kind of money? Cause a Super Bowl team needs balance
#GoRams -
Tom also didn't walk into a complete rebuild with little to no talent and obscene cap space as a result. Every year the cap space is increased. 3 years down the road this contract will seem small.
-
Every year it does increase and so does everyone else’s contracts that come up. So using 50% of your offenses cap space on one player? Who played with 9mil WRs, is about to lose them. Why cause they assume he can do that with any WR. That’s where 49ers are wrong
-
I'm sorry did you not see our offense? Trent Taylor marquise Goodwin Pierre GARCON and George Kittle. Two rookies and 2 veterans. None of which we broke the bank for and still got production. We're not about to have a Julio jones type contract any time soon.
-
Kitten forsure but Garcon? He didn’t play well for a 9mil WR. You understand your oline is takes a lot of this cap space and there isn’t much room for Jimmy 27mil on 50mil offense which your oline takes a lot of it up. 27+16(oline)=42mil
-
You realize garcon prior to injury was on pace for 1k yards and 100 receptions. That's with hoyer and beathard. He hasn't even seen Jimmy yet. Secondly Jimmy was sacked 8 times in 6 games just a little over once per game. That was without Trent brown as well.
-
Yea cause you guys pay your oline and dline nicely. Idc what he “was” on pace for....dude has 0 TD. I could say the same about the rams rookie WR was on pace to break the nfl rookie WR rec.
-
My dude you're clearly out of your element here. With the exception of staley, none of our Oline is paid well
Browns on a rookie contract Tomlinson was traded for but he's a bust fusco was a cheap FA addition and Kilgore just finished up his 2nd contract.

Matt Cassell/Matt Flynn 2.0

He'd not slightly more proven than Matt Flynn was, that's a lot of money to bet he remains as good as he ended last season as.

Richest contract for 8 games!?! Not a smart move IMO
-
He's clearly a good QB. Better than being left with no QB, they also have like 2828282 in cap space so they're fine
-
Ik that I'm just saying 27 million God Damn. He gets that with 8 games imagine how much Rogders getting?
