I’d really appreciate it if the nfl officiating crew could explain how number 11’s block was not an illegal pick but Trey Buton getting slammed by Kiko Alonso in the exact same distance from the line of scrimmage was a illegal pick? Please?
-
Hunters block wasn’t an illegal pick because the defender initiated contact, and all contact made was within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. No penalty.
-
I know this but so was Trey Burton’s. Considering Kiko Alonso clearly initiates the contact and slammed into him 3 yards away from the line of scrimmage. Button was actually trying to run a route too. I don’t understand the difference between thre two.

god that should have been a penalty on the td play

Happened on the line of scrimmage, and the defender initiated contact (per Woodson and dungy breakdown on SNF half time show)
