    .@DanMarino's @MiamiDolphins offense = Unstoppable force. That @ChicagoBears defense = Immovable object. This is what happened when two powerhouses collided back in 1985. 😲(via @nflthrowback) #FBF 📺: #CHIvsMIA -- Sunday 1PM ET on FOXpic.twitter.com/Swdh95GZmH

How can any fan watch that passing artistry and settle for a mediocre QB? This is why we clamor for drafting QBs each season until you find someone who can win with his arm.. Not win "if the defense holds & the o-line protects & the WRs get open.." No "if" clauses, just win

I think the Fins have used a 1st round pick on a QB three times in 50yrs so get over it. But could they at least use a 3rd rd on a kid to develop every 4yrs?

You can't burn a 3rd rounder "every" year cuz YOU are desperate. Imagine you drafted a kid in 2015. Hes on the bench 2 years. Ryan hurt in 2017, you go with the kid...hopefully hes better than Matt Moore and does OK.

So now that we KNOW Devante is a bust, and you released 2nd rounder Phillips and you traded 3rd rd for Stills 2015 draft is a wash and from 2010-13, only pix on roster is Ryan and Rashad, that's why ya'll stink.

They were good for their time, without a doubt but that one trick pony of a defense blitzing every down would get exposed today by modern offensive coordinators.

Lol if they played in the modern times they would play to how the game is today. That’s not a real argument to use as to why they were good lol.

No they would play how the 85 bears played defense, you can’t throw out a hypothetical like that and expect it to apply, and they were a one trick pony with mainly blitz packages which is how Marino and Phins beat them, Brady and belicheck would figure them out in 1 quarter

🤦🏾‍♂️ first of all you already brought up the hypothetical when you said they would get beat in today’s NFL lmao. Second YOU weren’t even ALIVE when they played lmaooo how you just gone say they were a one trick pony. Your literally just talking. And lastly (1/2)

You have to take into account the new rule changes, new ways things are coached and different techniques used. It’s not just a “put the 85 bears in this era” and this happens. Same reason why it’s impossible to talk about Bron and MJ in terms of the competition they played.

Was at this game. Every single ticket used at Orange Bowl. Best sports atmosphere I’ve ever been around. OB was loudest ever. Dwight Stephenson played w/ one arm from injury in game and had to snap left handed while schooling Wm Perry. Unbelievable night. Need to get back to that

The refs had to stop the game several times to ask the crowd to lower the volume. Bears players couldn’t hear the QB. Insane environment at the OB that night.

Absolutely - remember Shula had to face crowd and waive arms... everything was literally shaking... Hard Rock gets pretty loud now with canopy but nothing will ever compare to that glorious old rust bucket Orange Bowl...
