Aaron Rodgers throws nearly 5 TDs for every interception. Find another quarterback who can say that. I dare you.

Find me another qb that has thrown for 5 5,000 yard seasons. Better yet, find me one who has 2 5,000 yard seasons. Or someone who complete’s 68%+ of their passes.

Find me a qb that on their “down year” still throws for 4,300 yards. Since 2006 Brees has never thrown for less than 4,300 yards. That is 12 straight seasons of it which is an nfl record btw.

Not a Pats fan. In fact I dislike them severely. But the goat convo starts and ends with Brady. Brees isn’t even an afterthought.

If the conversation is about being the leader on great teams, you have a point. If it’s about being great playing the position in the NFL, Brees eclipses Brady by every conceivable metric. The first time Brees played with a Pro Bowl receiver was last year ffs

Yeah, it’s a team sport. That’s how you measure individuals. Otherwise it’s me pointing out the huge advantage of being in the AFC Easy where you get 5 extra bye weeks a season and home field advantage throughout the playoffs every year & you having no comeback other than emojis

Because the NFC South has been so talented? And Brady makes cast off receivers much much better. It’s not like he’s got HOF WRs either.

Since 2002 when the divisions were re-aligned, the NFC South has had a team in the Super Bowl 5 times. The only division with more appearances is the AFC East, but they’ve all been by 1 team whereas the NFC South has had all 4 teams appear. It’s the best division in the league

Well, let’s examine Brees’s last few playoff losses. 17: Leads game winning drive only to see his defense fail. 13: Shut down by LOB. 11: Puts up 462 yards and 4 TDs on the top ranked defense. His defense gives up a TD with seconds left. 10: Defense gives up 41, lose 41-36.

Drew’s defense has failed him numerous times. That’s why he doesn’t have more playoff success. Should I blame Tom Brady for losing the Super Bowl when he puts up over 500 yards but his defense was abysmal? This is the situation Drew Brees is in after nearly every playoff loss.

It does. Very similar game to the Seahawks/Patriots Super Bowl. Both QBs were bad against great defenses early. Both had their defense step up and give them an opportunity to come back. Both did. The difference was what happened after that. Saints D failed. Patriots D didn’t.
