Simultons are simultaneous different-wavelength optical solitons, first found in 1981. Hopefully with this paper usage of the word will increase so that it's no longer autocorrected.

Guys really appreciate it if you rt this. Johnson is going ahead to deport around 50 brits to Jamaica on 11th Feb. Many of these people have lived in UK since childhood. We can't let him do this without making a stand or we are slipping into a nightmare

I've noticed that while grad students are being increasingly open about our mental health, most of our mentors (PIs, chairs, heads) have remained silent. We know you're probably suffering too, & knowing we aren’t alone could start the conversations we desperately need to have.

Quantum physics has a reputation for being impossible to understand. But clearly scientists understand it—how else would it become “the most successful scientific theory ever”? So, , how would succinctly describe quantum physics in a single tweet?

In their coverage, the has just removed the column showing Bernie and Pete with the same number of delegates. All of a sudden pledged delegates are not worth keeping track of?

There is an (almost) entirely separate scientific debate about whether these experiments represent the direction we want the field to move in, but this debate is less important than the social connotations

We need to change this, and to pre-empt the “but advantage doesn’t mean the same thing” people, the new term doesn’t have to be ‘advantage’ if you have a better (but without negative social connotations) idea for a term than share it

Wait so media has been talking about “Pete in 1st” all day, but they are actually tied in delegates 10-10. What’s the point of reporting “state delegate equivalent” count over popular vote when they equal the same number of actual delegates (other than boosting Pete of course)
