It’s not abuse, it’s called discipline and for those that think taking away ones iPad or computer or phone is the way to go, is a part of the problem. You can discipline with out beating. Your way of thinking is why our society is out of control.
A little over the top with the Make Kids Great again, but once society removed punishments like this and the leather belt, kids started attacking their teachers, acting up or ending up in the prison system at younger ages. We need punishments like this again.

Children land up also in prison bc of delinquent, absent, self involved bad parents /parenting. Parents not nurturing their kids; have had to fend for themselves. Poverty line is huge in US between rich & poor. In jail because they are not properly fed, clothed or loved. Shamed
