  4. Statewide power outage total at 8:30 pm is 676,704 with the highest concentration in New Hanover, Brunswick, Carteret, Cumberland, and Robeson counties. Get updates:

  5. North Carolina has submitted more counties to be added to major federal disaster declaration: Columbus, Cumberland, Jones, Lenoir, Robeson, Wayne. More still expected to be submitted in the coming days.

  12. .: Road conditions across nearly all of our state will deteriorate over the next few days. Almost all of NC will be subject to flooding. Flash floods this morning began closing major routes. It has been increasingly difficult to find bypass routes.

  13. . Cooper: Even when evacuation orders are lifted from the coast, it is still not safe for you to get there. More and more inland counties are issuing evacuation orders for ppl to get to safety.

  14. . Cooper: All roads in the state are at risk of floods. Roads you think may be safe can be washed away in a matter of minutes. Just a few inches of water can sweep your car away. Pay close attention to flash flood warnings.

  15. . Cooper: Currents of water are flooding homes, covering roads and sweeping away cars. They are dangerous and destructive. Stay off the roads in most parts of NC! Don't make yourself someone who needs to be rescued.
