If you have a flooded EV, do NOT try to drive it. Do NOT try to get in the car. Hopefully, a licensed tow truck operator can get it to a safe space. You do not want this in your house, because if it combusts, you will lose your house that may have survived the storm.

Unfortunately, there’s a science experiment taking place in Florida with EVs and salty storm surge waters post-Ian. Saltwater can cause EVs to combust after exposure. It’s something government and the private sector needs to know for disaster planning. bit.ly/3COg8x9

This is the house pointed out yesterday that caught fire from an EV. Burned to the ground. Caught the neighbor’s house on fire too. We’re forwarding this information to . Again, when EV fires begin there’s not a lot teams can do. Plus, the gases are toxic.
