Have damage from Ian? Do NOT sign ANYTHING. Contact your insurer, insurance agent or my office. If pressured to sign something, you have rights, but there’s a limited window on when you can get out. Don’t give your claim away! It’s yours. Help us get the word out with a RT

Thank you for your leadership re:this life safety issue for the public & emergency responders

We are having EVs catch fire left and right. I doubt these car engineers ever decided to submerge their lithium ion battery powered cars in saltwater, for six hours at 18 feet of depth, and then pulled it out to see what would happen. CC: @newsmax

Thank you we appreciate your willingness to be on scene so you could see first hand how difficult these fires are to extinguish

If you own any EV that was flooded in salt water get it towed away from any structure. Extreme fire risk and difficult to extinguish. @elonmusk ,@ByronDonalds @JimmyPatronis .God Bless @NCFRPio

Thank you & for spending the morning with us & witnessing 1st hand what all firefighters r dealing with Re: EV vehicles and fires 🔥

There’s a ton of EVs disabled from Ian. As those batteries corrode, fires start. That’s a new challenge that our firefighters haven’t faced before. At least on this kind of scale. #HurricaneIan

We’re currently coordinating fire engine strike teams. We’ve got deployments planned from non-impacted firehouses in the Panhandle to South Florida. We’ll have more once the storm passes. They’ll support fire teams who are responding to Ian. Be safe. #HurricanIan
