    Two NCA officers who tackled armed suspects fleeing an illegal firearms factory have been awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery. Joel Andrews and Glenn Carr receive the honour for taking action likely to have prevented death or serious injury. Congratulations to you both👏

  2. The account given by Bullows and Tucker about their trip to Belgium was a pitiful attempt to disguise their criminality.    Class A drugs are inextricably linked to violence and exploitation. We will continue to work with partners to target the organised crime groups involved.

  3. Bullows told investigators that he had taken the coach to Belgium so that the air conditioning system could be repaired. He said that Tucker was a friend who had come along ‘for the jolly’.

  4. The NCA investigation into Christopher Bullows and Mark Tucker launched after they were stopped at Dover Docks last year. Border Force officers found the 243 kilos of cocaine hidden in a specially constructed water tank in the coach.

  7. The investigation began after the seizure of around £1.9 million from Tara Hanlon, at Heathrow in October 2020.   Around a month later Czech national Zdenek Kamaryt was intercepted as he attempted to board a flight from Heathrow to Dubai. £1.3 million cash was found in his bags.

  18. As the second suspect fled from pursuing officers, Glenn, an armed motorbike surveillance officer, moved to block his path. The suspect was immediately arrested and found to be in possession of a gun.

  20. In August 2018, Joel and Glenn were deployed on a NCA firearms investigation. As a surveillance team watched the two main suspects enter an industrial unit, they heard two loud bangs, leading armed officers to move in to make arrests. Both suspects attempted to escape the scene.
