Q1: How long have you been in elections/your role? A1: I have been the Director of Elections for the State of Washington for seven years. Prior to serving as Director, I was a local election official for 18 years.

Q2: What got you interested in elections? A2: I was only 20 when I started and didn’t understand the significance of this work at the time. I was quickly bitten by the elections bug, and have enjoyed this work ever since.

Q3: What’s the best part of your job? A3: As Director, I love supporting elections officials across Washington and the Country. These folks work tirelessly to ensure elections are accurate, transparent, secure, and accessible.
