@NASAWebb think about the dark side of the moon, no polution, parabolic dishs everywhere, telescope heaven, easy maintainace.
The side of the Moon we do not see from Earth gets just as much sunlight on it as the side we do see.

The mirrors are beryllium and micrometeorids won't damage. Sunshield is kapton and has rip stops so it won't tear.
