      @NASAWebbTelescp @db_prods But according to http://jwst.nasa.gov/faq.html#wavelengths … the shortest wavelength will be 600 nm -> no RGB images, let alone UV.

      @cosmos4u @db_prods We can see 0.6 to 28 micrometers, ranging from visible gold-colored light through the mid-infrared. No UV.

      @NASAWebbTelescp @db_prods So at the short end JWST is essentially a NICMOS-on-steroids (was 0.8 - 2.5 µm). But it's not a Hubble 2.0, IMHO.

      @cosmos4u @db_prods We've never said it was a Hubble 2.0. It's a scientific successor to Hubble, with IR capability Hubble doesn't have.

          @NASAWebbTelescp @db_prods But many think it's a "bigger Hubble": PR effort needed to 'place' JWST correctly between HST, Spitzer, Herschel.
