There’s no place like our home galaxy…or its supermassive black hole. Sagittarius A* is at the core of the Milky Way (shown in X-ray & radio), surrounded by a disk of gas & dust. Webb will also look to our neighbor galaxy Centaurus A, a warped disk that previously merged with another galaxy. Its active supermassive black hole shoots out jets & winds.
