      To prepare for folding, engineers began with laying the five layers of the sunshield as flat as possible. Afterwards, the layers were lifted vertically and propped onto special support equipment so that they could be properly restrained for folding.pic.twitter.com/5GRatYH4oH

      The sunshield is very delicate to fold: the first layer of the sunshield is two-thousandths of an inch (0.005 centimeters) thick, while the other four layers are only one-thousandth of an inch thick. Here's a close-up view of the sunshield in its deployed state ⬇️pic.twitter.com/CzvcrDJ6y0

      Fully deployed, the telescope’s sunshield measures almost 70 ft by 47 ft (21 m by 14 m). When stowed inside the rocket for launch, the folded sunshield will be packaged in a very confined area to fit the 18-ft (5.4-m) diameter rocket fairing. 🚀pic.twitter.com/8qNUNaavvq

          I read the telescope would always be in dark behind the earth never to face the sun! Having exposed to sunlight through the film, will it not heat up even a little bit? How would that affect the performance of telescope if that happens?

          The telescope won't be directly behind the Earth -Webb actually will almost never be in Earth's shadow. The sunshield is what blocks the Sun, not the Earth. Sunlight can't get through the 5 layer sunshield - its shade keeps the telescope at cryogenic temps!
