Hi, Once in orbit, will we be able to see Webb with our naked eye like see ISS?
-
-
-
No, it'll be 1.5 million kilometers away from earth, much further away than the moon is from earth and far smaller than the ISS

If launch is this year, does it have its first target set and we can we expect to see the results if all goes to plan?
-
Let's hope it all goes to plan
no way to fix it once it's up there like they fixed Hubble

Can/Will the James Webb Telescope use Earth's shadow in it's L2 point to help block sun? Or would that be negligible at that distance?
-
We will almost never be in Earth's shadow, actually!

Hi,
@NASAWebb I don't see my native language which is Malay. Since I'm a bachelor of language student and fluent in English, I would like to help to translate these facts to Malay. Thank you. -
Hi, we'd love to add Malay! Please email us at gsfc-nasawebb@mail.nasa.gov and we'll work with you to add it to our website. Thank you!
