Though it is only 30 seconds, the KC-135 ‘Vomit Comet’ could simulate the mechanism, though it would be a model of the engineering test or Webb itself, it could provide insight into any issues. Another idea, is to put the engineering test onto the ISS... $$$ I know, but worth it
