Aren’t the movements much less strenuous in zero gravity? Do these motions put stress on the joints at sea level? Maybe I’m being overly sensitive, with my arthritis and all

Great question! Special gravity offsetting equipment was attached to Webb’s mirror to simulate the zero-gravity environment its mechanisms will have to operate in.
