1. what is the probability JWST be hit by micrometeorites? Since its mirror is exposed to open space .
2. What’s the range of observable space , since it is always blocking the sun?

At a given time, we will have 35% instantaneous sky coverage. And we'll have coverage of the full sky as we orbit around the Sun in the course of a year. Webb won't be able to look towards the Sun or at objects between it and the Sun.
