Isn’t this exaggerated to show the dynamics of the orbit? Should you mention that it will always be in the shadow of the Earth in order to shield it from solar radiation. (This model makes it look like it is never in the Earth’s shadow)
Webb will actually orbit L2 rather than being exactly at L2, and as a result, Webb will almost never be in the Earth's shadow. Hubble, in orbit around Earth, goes in and out of Earth shadow every 90 minutes. Webb is shielded from the Sun/Earth/Moon by its sunshield.
I'm looking forward to that sat, I'm hoping you guys use ai to map the stars with the thing. It would be really cool to have a huge map like that. It won't be every star, but still.
