Unlike Hubble, Webb's much larger mirror is exposed, and also needs to be kept extremely cold. Water (i.e. from an astronaut suit) could condense on the cold mirror and not come off. This is even an issue for robotic servicing.

If space based astronomy is going to advance in the face of progress on the ground, the costs must come down by 10X as size increases. Ground based construction of large space telescopes is at an end.
