The Gateway architecture was created so that SLS/Orion would be needed. Need a new cheaper architecture. Let’s take a look at

We didn’t go back, now did we? The Apollo architecture was revolutionary but not sustainable. It left no infrastructure on the moon or in orbit that would make future landings easier.
