An earlier version of GRACE has flown (and recently failed). This is the follow on https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/prolific-earth-gravity-satellites-end-science-mission … and here is a new paper on sea level that used the data from the old GRACE https://www.earth-syst-sci-data-discuss.net/essd-2018-53/
