Dentist chair thoughts . . . Mars and earth are aligned every ~780 days in an optimum way for sending spacecraft. Mars Hope, Tianwen-1, and Perseverance all launched close together. Does that mean right now 3 spaceships are in close formation in route to Mars? @NASAJPL help?
There’s a lot of space in space, so formation might be a generous term for the relative positions of all three craft, but yes! They are all looking to enter the Mars system in February.

I learned last year that the asteroid belt isn't what the movies make it look like. It's hard to wrap your head around how much space is in space.
So true. Scale is hard to comprehend. I was reminded the other day that we (humans) are 99% empty space. Atoms themselves are mostly empty space.
