How do you test landing systems and programs for the rover? Do you use a specialized simulation program?

To test the commands and sequences (and operators!) we use a System Testbed, which contains both real and simulated hardware. This gives us the ability to simulate the environment we will be in during EDL and allows us to test all possible scenarios, especially off-nominal ones.
