Is there an article that reviews the design and risk assessment/management behind the 'drop-and-drive' deployment vs one where it is launched from the top of the rover?

We don’t have a link to an article at the moment, but the current strategy was chosen in the spirit of “Do no harm.” The helicopter is a technology experiment riding along with Perseverance and launching it from the top could damage important rover hardware.
