Cool, how much time is needed for sound to come from Rover to Earth?
The sound file we'll get from @NASAPersevere's entry, descent, and landing (EDL) on Mars will be saved in the rover’s onboard memory. It should be downlinked to Earth and available within a week.

Talking about acoustic effects during EDL ... has anyone calculated whether the
@InSight_IPGP seismometer placed by@NASAInSight could detect any EDL pressure signal coupling into the ground? (Measurements of such kind were a key plot element in the Netflix space show "Away" ...) -
I am sure they will listen. It's 3500 km away, but Mars is quieter than Earth. Also, I hate to be morbid but if (God forbid) MSL2020 goes splat, NASA will want to get a reading on the impact energy.
